Trying...

That seems to be the word lately, trying to clean my house, trying to get organized, trying trying trying to get everything on my to do list done.... And yet, still everything still seems to be crazy as usual. So it is time to slow down and focus on the coming of December, the month that brings with it the hope of the world, celebrating the birth of our Lord. Gives me goosebumps, realizing that and trying to focus on the reason for the season is not easy when you can get so caught up in the details of it all, and lose focus of what we are really celebrating here. I love Christmas music, it just relaxs me to the core and it takes away the tensions and worries of the moment. Life is good... and great things are coming.

Just having fun

All those old school games that kids seem to have forgotten about today... JAX, I loved playing jax as a kid and found a set at the store for a mere dollar... and Noah has been trying to learn, I was cracking up when Daddy tried his hand at it... love these boys....

Live and learn

Happy Holidays...

SERIOUSLY... my house has been held hostage by the stomach bug that won't leave! ugh! it has been over a week already and just when I thought we were past it yesterday I was sicker than a dog AGAIN! I think it was a lot of things including the stress of getting ready for the Thanksgiving feast, that was very nice... but my stomach has been a train wreck so I can't honestly say that I ate too much because what I have eaten has upset my stomach just like everything else... yuck... But everyone else seems to have enjoyed the food and I am beginning to think that stress is the culprit because even though both Noah and I started with it last weekend, I am the only one that can't seem to kick it. I am a little stressed too because usually I am way ahead of the game on presents and this year, nada... I shouldn't say that because aside from his big present, Noah is taken care of so at least I can rest easy there. I was really down in the dumps before Thanksgiving because I just wasn't feeling well and I felt so unprepared but I think I got more mad at myself for losing sight of the real meaning of it all, to be so thankful for all the blessings that we do have... and they are many...

Thanksgiving visitor

Here is Noah with my nephew Josh who flew in from Florida to spend Thanksgiving with us. Josh is my brother Ernies only child, it felt really good to have him here because his Dad being gone has really left a void in our lives. He has my brother's eyes.... I can't believe it has already been two years since he passed away, I wish Josh had been able to spend more time with him before he left us but at least it makes us feel good to know that he is smiling knowing Josh is here with us now...

Hometown

This is why I love living in a small town, our neighbor and friend Terry stopped by and started throwing the football to Noah in the front yard. Gotta love small towns....

Where did the month go!

We have been crazy busy and really I shouldnt even be on the computer right now but I feel bad about neglecting my blog! LOL My phone broke and I had to get a new one and didn't even realize that i no longer had the address to at least send photos, which explains the many new photos i just added and will put captions by later. I have a wreck in my house because we painted a room and redid some floors to get ready for the holidays and now I am really struggling to get things in order. wahhhhh! I hope everyone is having a wonderful November and will have an even better Thanksgiving. God Bless!

Hi November, come on in!!!!

Well, I can't believe it is already November and I am so Thankful for that! It's the most wonderful time of the year! I am determined to get my house ready for the Holiday season! I am actually having the floor re-done in our den, the people that owned the house before enclosed the garage to make a family room but never finished out the den so I have been itching to finish this up for a while and I scheduled the floor for Thursday and Friday of this week. Of course I am not looking forward to having to box stuff up so they can move it out but I guess I have to do something to help... I am sure I will be a complete basket case by the weekend but that's okay, because I will have a nice floor to pass out on. I have been trying to focus on getting my house in order, NOT... jeez, I am not a housekeeper at heart and don't understand those people that love to clean (but sure wouldn't mind if they wanted to do my house!) Guess I need to sign off and clean up the kitchen so I can hit the sack....

I am so very grateful today for the people in the service that protect our freedom. Noah got a nice care package from his Uncle Wolfe and his Army troop to show his class as they prepare for veterans day. The kids are going to be so psyched to get their personalized dog tags... and my baby is going to be sporting his new army gear on Wednesday, picture to come... Hooaah!
