Just for today

Okay, I have a ton of stuff I SHOULD be doing but I have been wanting to write something that has been on my heart and I just need to sit down and do it. I have been really having a hard time lately with the fact that I feel like I am not contributing to my family, financially that is... Especially because i keep hearing the 'must be nice to not work' comments over and over, but I know, I am working harder now than I ever have... I guess it has been difficult because I have always worked, I have never not worked and it was a HUGE leap of faith to decide to leave my job. So I was going through a bit of a feeling worthless slump... and I am struggling in my prayer life to move past that because I knew the minute I decided to do this that God had placed it on my heart, the doubt of the Devil has wreaked havoc on my confidence but I know I will get past it. Johnny keeps telling me that it is really no one else's business that I decided to stay home because we aren't relying on anyone else but God, I know that, and I do trust in him and somedays are still hard because I do get frustrated but I love my life... I just feel guilty I guess, for placing so much of the burden to care for our family on my husband. I heard a song on the radio the other day that really tugged at my heart strings and made me think so much of my husband whom I worry about so much. It is called Lead Me by Sanctus Real, google it, it is an awesome song. Nothing is guaranteed in life, jobs...health....happiness, but one thing I know for sure is that my son is learning every day by watching us, and we must lead eachother, make the right choices and show him the right way... We don't always make the right decisions, but I know that putting our family first has been one of the best ones of my life....

I gotta sign off for now, I have a St. Jude costume to finish for mass on Friday and treatbags and a haunted house to paint for our Halloween Carnival at school this weekend... Kindergarten is great...

Team player day... And we are still practicing for mass

Graveyard cupcakes

wooooooo...

It's Halloween, what do we do?
We don't say Hi... we say BOOOO!
Say Boo, to you, to you we say
BBBBOOOOOOOOOO!

I can't believe it is almost that time of the year again, I am really excited because Noahs school is doing the Halloween Carnival again for all the students, they stopped having it when Noah started there and that was one of the perks I was looking forward to! They will be having trunk or treating and games inside the gym... but best of all my monkey will have fun with his friends and will be safe. He decided to be a football player so whew! he can wear his steeler uniform and we got him pads to put in it so he is set to go...
We are home today because i think we caught a little stomach bug, he is doing better today but last night was not too good, yuck... then my neighbor decided to have a concert in her backyard last night so i didn't sleep too good... jeez, they were out there til almost four this morning! good grief... I am working on organizing my messy house... no fun... if you don't hear from me soon I am probably trapped under a pile somewhere...

Corn Maze bound

Noah's had a field trip to the corn maze in Moulton... Last year we went to the one in Hondo but we really liked the one in Moulton too but is sure was a drive, once we got off the highway it was really pretty country road scenery. I miss our little weekend roadtrips, just take off and drive, so much pretty country around here... sounds like the Sauceda's need to get back on the road!

Awwwe...

Look at my pumpkin in the Pumpkin Patch! isn't he gorgeous! I am not prejudice or anything... really! We snuck over there after school to get some photos to give his grandmas in their fall card. love this boy...

Proud to be an American!

I sure am, and even more proud of our 5K as they do their performance to the Pledge of Allegiance, there will be an encore performance for veterans day!

One nation, under God....

Noah's first roller coaster

Things I am learning in Kindergarten...

**3K is now considered 'the babies' according to the big Kindergartners...
**Pizza day has now taken first place in popularity...
**Bad hair days don't matter in Kindergarten
**Never give one child a tic tac in view of another because word spreads fast in 5K
** When you are 5 tic tacs are considered a candy, when you are almost 40 they don't even come close....

Awe.... Pumpkin

Stopped in Luling to roam around their pumpkin patch and couldn't resist taking a picture of my cutie here... so loving him!

Look out Matadors... we got a young gun in training...

Seguin Steelers tore up Cedar Creek Eagles 26-7... Let's keep it rolling all day Steelers!

Yup, I turn into this mad woman I am not sure I recognize on Saturdays... My baby got 2 flags and cleared the way for his quarterbacks and runningbacks... That's right sports fans, you better move out of the way when you see this Steeler on the front line!

It's County Fair time...

There's a new sheriff in town! We had western dress day at school on Friday, isn't my cowboy handsome... we had plenty of guns fights at the OK Corral (playground) all day...

FIRE!

Some of Seguin's AWESOME firefighters stopped by and gave a really good fire safety presentation to the kiddos and then they got the red carpet tour of the fire trucks. It was really cute and the kids were so excited when they saw all the fire trucks and ambulances drive up! I got a little nervouse because I didn't know they were coming and I wasn't sure what was going on... LOL This is Noah posing with our friend Fernando who is an awesome guy and firefighter...

Things I've learned in Kindergarten...

...Even the best kids have bad days
...Hamburger day in the cafeteria is second only to Pizza Friday!
...Sometimes coloring isn't fun
...grown-ups need nap times more than the kids do
...sometimes even grown-ups can forget their manners
...a group hug from your kiddos can make even a bad day better

It's here!

My beloved Pumpkin Patch....

This is a quick snapshot from the street and you can't really see all the really cool stuff in the back, I love the small town feel of things like this in Seguin... I plan on taking and posting many pictures from here this season... Hope everyone gets a chance to visit!

So very many....

This is the simple wreath I made for the den door entrance to my house, I love love loved this sign when I saw it and had to get it and just hung it in front... Many many blessings held in these doors, that is for certain...

Sunday...

We went for our Sunday drive and Noah knocked out with Bella on his lap....

I tried posting earlier but it got zapped into never never land I guess.. I haven't been very good about posting anything other than pictures (sorry) but heck, Kindergarten is a lot of work! LOL I can't believe it is already going to be two months since I quit work, and already I am wondering how I ever worked in the first place! It has been a roller coaster ride but I think that our lives generally are anyway. I would like to thank all my wonderful friends for their prayers for my family during JJ's passing. I keep imagining that sweet boy running in the fields of heaven and laughing thinking that he is probably wearing my Dad and his Uncle Ernie out. Miss them all so very very much but I know that God is taking great care of them.

I love being at home with my boys, now even more so all the moments and memories are so precious, they mean the world to me and I feel so lucky to have this time with them. I am really looking forward to the holidays, we passed by the Pumpkin Patch and they were getting it ready, one of my favorite parts of October, Noah has a ton of stuff going on at school this month, they are putting on a program for the PTC meeting and Kindergarten is doing Mass this month and I have to make him a St. Jude costume, we are headed to the Corn Maze in Moulten for a field trip and of course there is Halloween and I need to figure out how to make a Pteradactyl costume... so keep those prayers coming. I know most of us are dreading Monday, but not this Momma, Monday is library day and I LOVE library day... can't wait to check out some new books and listen to Mrs. Matalik read to us!

God Bless...

ZZZZzzz

You know you are tired when you fall asleep during Friday movie, and this is now my picture that will get him to stop sucking that thumb... LOL

Stand your ground...

We were going into the gym and this little fella would not budge from in front of the door, stubborn guy, I even got right on top for this picture!
