bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens...

just a few of my favorite things... also included are hearing my son giggle and laugh, kissing him under his chin and warm hugs when he is snuggly...

We are mid-way through our last week of Christmas vacation and I am feeling the dread of getting back into a routine. womp womp womp.... really this is probably my last lazy day and it is not so lazy, i have to speed clean and get things organized because my sister and her kiddos will be coming to stay with us for awhile, so a new adventure begins in our little family. The challenge is going to be blending a dog family and a cat family... LOL yikes! but at least their cat family likes dogs... our dog family is not really keen on cats.
I am going to finish cleaning house because Noah and I are meeting some of his buddies for lunch and a movie then supper with his cousins, tomorrow is packing day and a doctors appt., new years eve gathering on Friday should be relaxing and we have the dance on Saturday, yippee and the big game on Sunday in Houston, ya, we'll be tired so good thing we have Monday to relax before heading back to school.
Oh and big big news, I have an interview next week! nervous, yes nervous... it is only part-time and just fell into my lap but I am going to let things go as they may and see what happens. I wasn't looking for anything so if nothing comes of it, no big deal. I don't know why I am even nervous, could be because my last interview was what, 20 years ago!
Life is good and hey, a New Year is just around the corner!
